Meet the Teachers
James Landrum - Guitar | Mandolin | Ukulele | bass
Founder of the Studio, James has over a decade of experience teaching in the DFW area. He graduated from John Brown University in 2011 with a BS in Education, and independently studied guitar under Fred Hamilton and Noel Johnston of the University of North Texas guitar program. He has since been performing locally and internationally with groups such as The After Party, a Top 40s wedding band, Brigitte Mena, a local alternative rock artist, Community Life Church in Forney, TX, Basket Case, a tribute to Green Day, Mr Worldwide The Ultimate Pitbull Tribute, Jordan Kahn Music Company, Strange Girl, and a multitude of other productions. He is a founding member of The Proper Bandits bluegrass trio, and runs a monthly live band karaoke outfit Local Honey.
Most of all, he is proud of the accomplishments of his students, who have gone on to record albums, pursue music in college, and most importantly, share music with their friends and family. He lives in Garland with his wife, his son, and 2 dogs.
Cade kellam -drums
Cade is a singer songwriter and professional drummer from Arlington, Texas. He grew up studying under Charley Pride’s touring drummer, Derek Spigener. He studied music at Dallas Baptist University and has since gone on to play drums professionally and loves teaching what he’s learned to the younger generation.
Jansen Wonders - Guitar
Jansen is the front man and songwriter for the local band, Josey. He is on staff as a songwriter and guitarist for Community Life Church in Forney, TX, and studied music business at Dallas Baptist University. He also really enjoys Korean bbq.
